Dear Prospective Patient and/or Referring Doctor:
The Gonstead Membership Directory lists chiropractors who state they utilize the Gonstead System of care, some exclusively, others not. We CANNOT fully guarantee this stated commitment. Therefore, once you locate a doctor in your desired area, we strongly urge you call the office and ASK what technique the doctor uses. IF this a Gonstead practice, the staff will be very clear on this.
A Gonstead doctor will utilize the following protocol:
A spinal exam with skin exposed will consist of:
- visualization
- instrumentation
- static palpation
- motion palpation and
- spinal x-rays
Gonstead equipment includes a cervical chair, a knee chest table, a pelvic bench or slot table and often a Hylo table.
